Family Gingerbread House Making

I wanted to start this post with "This year we decided...", but it's 2012 already! Looking back 2011 was filled with a lot of great family time, for which I am so grateful! One of the fun activities we did as a family in 2011 was to bake and assembly a gingerbread house. Each step was really a lot of fun and I think we are going to make it a yearly tradition. Here's some pictures of the process....
I found these gingerbread house cookie cutters at Micheal's. I go there a lot....probably too much. They know Sunshine and I and are even familiar with my shopping habits.
Putting the candy on the house proved to be a lot fun. Actually, picking out the candy was pretty fun too.
Isn't this a nice picture?!??! Hats off to all those photographers who can capture 3 year old's with a "normal" expression.
Daddy and daughter with the completed house.

I have never made a gingerbread house! Maybe that should be on the list for this coming year. :)

I fixed the link to my book blog.

Miss you too. Wish we lived closer. Wish I were better at keeping in touch too. (Our Christmas cards are sitting here just waiting to be addressed and sent...and it's the 3rd of January).
