Ten years ago I never thought I would be standing next to the man who coached the team that crushed K-State's opportunity to win a National Championship. Yet here I am standing next to him and smiling. Coach R.C. Slocum spoke at the Fall BBQ for the club that my husband advises here at A&M. He (my husband) has been looking forward to this event for quite some time. I dressed Sunshine in her A&M gear and brought along the camera. I almost wore purple, but I would have had to wear a sweater and it was too warm. Anyways, once Coach Slocum arrived we began discussing how we were going to approach him about posing for a picture. I think he figured it out pretty quickly when we both greeted him with a smile, our cute kid, and our camera. He was a great sport and even asked if he could hold her. We ended up sitting next to him at dinner and then he even refered to Sunshine during his speech. The husband was so excited! Now I just have to arrange for a photo shoot with Coach Snyder...

I LOVE THAT!! She is so cute and to think that you might have worn purple. "-) We had "team spirit" on sunday and we were suppose to wear our favorite teams jersey. The theme of the ministry fair was "get in the game." I became a Missouri fan when we lived in st. joe and our minister is from kc, so he wore missouri and so did I. We were the only black and gold in a sea of crimson and cream. it was a blast!! So I can imagine your desire to wear purple. :-)
Looking forward to keeping up and reading. It is in my favs.
love you guys!!
