Whoa! I haven't been on here for awhile. January went really fast, and it seems that February will be no different. After traveling to Seattle and Nashville (which I will post about soon), we've had some quite weeks at home, which has been nice. To be honest, when we got home from Nashville I wasn't real hip on the idea that we had several weeks ahead without anything real exciting planned. I'm past the travel detox stage now and I have been enjoying the time to appreciate ordinary life.
We've baked a LOT. I ran out of flour 2 days ago and after making a trip to the grocery store last night I woke up this morning and made a cinnamon roll bread recipe that I found on Pinterest and then made a batch of honey whole wheat bread. Thankfully, I have a happy little helper. She loves to punch down bread dough, lick beaters, frost cookies, mix, and watch the goodness baking through the little oven window.
We made valentine cookies...yum!
Someday her fingers won't be this small, sigh.
Look Mom!
Cleaning up the mixing bowl for me.
After a lot of sewing/crocheting for Christmas gifts I've taken a break. However with Easter around the corner, the break is over! I am using this cute vintage flour sack fabric for Sunshine's dress. The fabric is some that her Nini has kept from over the years.
