W as in Whiskey
Today I learned something new. Our internet has been down for a few days this week (I'll blame my lack of blogging on that!). We use a Verizon broadband card. I'll spare you all the details about the exact problem, but it did require me to spend some time on the phone with tech support. I was pleasantly surprised- I called and was able to speak with tech support in about 30 seconds. The first day I called I spoke with a guy named Aaron. After trying a few things that didn't work, he wanted me to change the settings on my card- which required entering a password. As he was dictating the password to me he says "W as in whiskey." I pause, wondering if I heard him correctly. I apologize and ask him to repeat himself. He repeats, "W as in whiskey." Hmm, okay haven't heard that before. I began wondering if he is thinking he is going to need some whiskey when he gets done talking to me. Fast forward to today, I decide to look up the phonetic alphabet tables today. Guess what?!? "W as in Whiskey" is correct! The things you learn when you are 34.
